Thomas started riding a KTM 50cc motocross bike at the age of 5 years old. He competed in local events with the Ringwood Motocross Club under a British Schoolboy Motocross Association (BSMA) licence.
In 2011, Thomas moved to road racing with FAB-Racing on a Minimoto 4.2 bike winning several Novice races. In 2012, he moved onto a Minimoto Production bike (Supported by Fab racing) and also raced a Metrakit MiniGP 50cc Bike. Thomas’ results were very successful in both classes culminating in a race win on the Metrakit Bike at the last round of the year.
In 2013 and 2014 Thomas raced on a MiniGP 70cc Bike, winning 4 of the 8 rounds to finish second in the British Championship in his first year and then becoming the MiniGP70 Championship winner the following year. Thomas also appeared on BT Sport "MotoGP Tonight" along with FAB-Racing.
2015 saw Thomas competing in The Santander Consumer Finance KTM British Junior Cup racing at British Superbike (BSB) rounds in the UK. By mid-year Thomas was the series leader with a 27 point gap to second place. Unfortunately, whilst competing as a wild-card rider in the Moriwaki Championship at Brands Hatch, Thomas was involved in a serious incident that meant he missed the next 3 KTM cup rounds. Thomas returned in September for the World Finals of the KTM cup held at Silverstone and despite only just returning, Thomas won the 1st race and came 7th overall in the World Final race.
Last year Thomas rode for the Case Moto3 Team, competing in the new Moto3 standard class championship racing at the British Superbike rounds in the UK and The Netherlands.
In 2017 Thomas will be riding for the Case Moto Rapido Moto3 team. Joining a BSB Superbike team is a fantastic opportunity for Thomas and we are looking forward to a great season with the team. Read more about the team on the Season page.
